Louis Gabriel Nouchi
Paris-based designer Louis Gabriel Nouchi is renowned for exploring concepts of masculinity in his subtly disruptive collections. Notable for its precision, fluidity and inclusivity, his narratively driven work often takes a literature as its starting point. Having initially pursued studies in medicine and law, Nouchi later turned to fashion. Following his graduation from Brussels’ esteemed La Cambre school, he honed his skills and sensibility at Raf Simons before founding his namesake brand in 2017. In 2023 he was the recipient of the prestigious Andam Prize.
Taking the body as a starting point, Nouchi’s collection debuted in his SS25 Paris Fashion Week collection. Harnessing an inherent sensuality that challenges conventional gender norms, high shine, polished leathers are maximised for their versatility. ‘Our inspiration for this collection delves into the intricate textures of the human body, drawing parallels with the supple shininess and waxy allure of biker leather,’ he says. The collection is executed in a strict palette of black, oxblood and pearlescent white.
